The Comédie Française was founded by royal decree of Louis XIV on October 21, 1680. The stage of the Salle Richelieu is inclined at a 4% slope, and rests on 4 levels below the stage made up of a complex framework that is entirely mobile to adapt to all the maneuvers of the set elements.

Rehabilitation of the 4 floors below the stage: reinforcement of the structure, renovation of the decking, moving elements, the scenery lift and the floor.
