Théâtre National de Nice – Les Franciscains

Nice (06)

Dating from the 18th century and located in the heart of Old Nice, the Church of the Franciscan Convent successively became, after the Revolution: a stable for Napoleonic troops, an ice factory, a dance hall, a garbage depot, and more. Today, it houses the Nice National Theatre. The interior of the building has been transformed into a fully modular performance space intended for contemporary creation. The theater’s walls are raw and bear the scars of history.
