Zero-Fleet Winch

Evolution of the single-layer winch : the drum, or the pulleys, moves during winding, so that cables permanently face the drum grooves.
A zero-fleet winch is used when there is little space between the winch and the head block, as it eliminates cable deflection problems.
Operating noise is reduced since there is no friction during winding.
Winches can be positioned horizontally or vertically, or insulated in a room away from the stage.
